SOFTWARE COMPETENCE CENTER HAGENBERG GMBH (SCCH)
Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH) is a non-university research center that has been driving excellence in applied research in the fields of data science and software science for over 20 years. This focus enables optimal implementation of projects in the fields of digitalization, Industry 4.0 (the smart factory) and artificial intelligence. SCCH serves as an interface between international research and domestic industry and conducts outstanding research with its nearly 100 researchers from 15 different nations.

IDEA is an engineering company operating in automation, electronics, home automation and IT.
Our mission is to develop, together with our customers, products and new solutions to provide them with a high level of innovation. IDEA develops custom turnkey solutions for control and supervision of production processes as well as test and measurement systems. We offer complete modular systems, both in-line and off-line, by integrating third party hardware, designing fixtures and test sequences.
As system integrators we can deliver implementations of robotic and automatic systems customised to fit the customer's specific needs. To achieve this we take advantage of solutions offered by the top players in the field of robotics, both traditional and collaborative. UNIVERSITAET MANNHEIM (UMA)
The University of Mannheim is well-known for its distinct profile which is characterized by Mannheim's renowned Economic and Social Sciences being closely intertwined with the Humanities, with the Schools of Law, Mathematics and Computer Sciences. All disciplines closely cooperate with each other on central research subjects, for example on the topics of the political economy of reforms, decisions, governance, data science, artificial intelligence, migration and integration or language acquisition. Especially the Economic and Social Sciences are linked via their quantitative-empirical approach. The University has a budget of ca. 120 mill. EUR. Additionally, the university acquires about 26 mill. EUR third-party funding p.a.

Industrias Alegre
Industrias Alegre is a family business, 100% Valencian, founded in 1953 by Vicente Alegre, a mold maker by profession, with which his first activity was as a mold workshop, an activity that continues today.
Its current main activity is the manufacture of injection plastic parts for the automotive sector where it acts as a global provider of full service of the design of the part, manufacture of its tool, its production and even its packaging, which is its second business unit. And throughout this development process, innovation has been and continues to be really key. The R&D Department of the company works further to promote a culture of innovation at all levels and to provide an innovative character to each of the company's strategic lines.
The plastic product range consists mainly of upper and lower pillar lining, trunk parts, Instrument Panel and consoles components, and plastic parts for the seats. Core Innovation and Technology OE (CORE) is a start-up company offering tailor-made solutions to attach meaning to data in several industrial sectors and use cases using Artificial Intelligence technologies. CORE uses its own innovation management approach to analyze customer needs and form new concepts (Concept and Business Model Engineering). CORE activities are focused on predictive analytics, simulation and optimization algorithms, innovation management, H2020 funding and mentoring, facilitating and co-designing use cases, testing pilots and field trials. The target industries include manufacturing, energy, transport and infrastructure.

ITUNOVA TEKNOLOJI ANONIM SIRKETI (ITU)
At ITU Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Application and Research Center (ITU AI), our main mission is to build and improve the capacity of knowledge and human resources in artificial intelligence and data sciences relying on envisioned advances along three venues: (1) Research and Development in AI; (2) Product Development Know-How in AI; (3) AI Education. We view those three as the legs of an AI tripod because all three aspects need to be considered to establish a strong base and advance in AI. We build ITU AI Center’s main mission objectives around those three legs. We leverage upon the existing capacity of Istanbul Technical University, from where we strategically kicked-off an ambitious AI initiative. Currently ITU AI has more than 10 affiliated faculty members and 50 graduate students with extensive research experience in machine learning, deep learning, deep reinforcement learning, autonomous systems, computer vision, natural language processing, large-scale optimization, operations research, empirical software engineering and big data analytics.

WIRTSCHAFTSUNIVERSITAT WIEN (WU)
Vienna University of Economics and Business is the EU’s largest educational institution for business and economics, business law, and social sciences. The Institute of Data Process and Knowledge management (https://ai.wu.ac.at) focuses its research efforts on knowledge management, decision support systems, business process management, intelligent data management, standards and applications of the Semantic Web and Linked (open and closed) Data, Knowledge Graphs, and AI and is highly active in international collaborations with world-class partners. The applicants are also heavily involved in three multidisciplinary research groups: (i) the Privacy and Sustainable Computing Lab, whose mission is to bring together researchers from different disciplines in order to work together on challenging problems relating to privacy and sustainable computing; (ii) the WU Research Institute for Cryptoeconomics, whose goal is to coordinate research on blockchain and similar technologies, from engineering, economics, business, and social sciences to law; and (iii) the Complexity Science Sub Vienna, which was set up in order to foster collaboration between complex systems scientists dedicated to make sense of Big Data for the benefit of science and society.

TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY DUBLIN (TU Dublin)
Technological University Dublin (TUDublin) is a first Technological University in the Republic of Ireland. Formed by merging three Dublin based Institutes of Technology (DIT, ITB and ITT) TU Dublin is one of the Ireland’s largest and most innovative higher education institutions. In Teaming AI TU Dublin will be involved in TU Dublin will support the 'human-centric' approach to AI by informing the mapping of the tacit knowledge and guiding the necessary step to adopt an Active Learning Approach for the AI algorithm to be deployed in use case 1 and 2 while in Use case 3 set up the required testing steps for different configurations which are: i) placing operators in different working conditions, ii) introducing work disruptions, iii) analyzing the reactions of operators, iv) designing alternatives to be tested. The experimental setting will collect physiological and subjective measures in addition to success/failure to help quantify the influence of contextual conditions on human performance. Prof John Kelleher and Dr Maria Chiara Leva are the PI involved in the project.

PROFACTOR GMBH (PRO)
PROFACTOR is a research company, with shares held by the country of Upper Austria (UAR) and Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). It is located in Steyr and focuses on developing new technologies for integrated production technologies. PROFACTOR has a broad spectrum of competencies including Intelligent Automation Systems, Industrial Assistance Systems, and Machine Vision. The Visual Computing (VC) team1 of PROFACTOR, is built up of experts from different fields (machine vision, parallel computing, deep neuronal networks, embedded systems, mechatronics, and software engineering). One main topic of the VC team is to do applied research with systems having higher-value perception and assistance options, often combined with tracking and deep learning. The resulting technologies extend existing, mainly imaging based, hardware components (e.g. 3D sensors, 2D sensors, inertial systems, tracking devices, wearables, etc.) and have increased application potential.
